Capitol Partners is a lobbying firm with years of experience in a variety of policy areas, and utilizes many different strategies and solutions to achieve results, including federal appropriations funding, building congressional support and relationships, and government affairs and political strategy. Please see below for more information about our work in specific policy areas.

Agriculture

Capitol Partners has a strong history representing agricultural clients to the federal government in a multitude of capacities.  Agriculture has historically served as the backbone of the U.S. economy, and even now in the twenty first century, agricultural technologies serve as a fundamental pillar in related fields such as health and energy.  Congress understands the value of agricultural technologies, which is why it often supports agricultural organizations in producing new technologies.

Our many years of experience on Capitol Hill and working with agricultural based groups have afforded us with an effective approach to matching our clients’ objectives with federal resources.  We have proven experience securing federal funding for biofuel research, agricultural technical advancements, and agricultural based health solutions.  Additionally, we assist in seeking the inclusion of policy language in federal legislation that serves to provide a competitive edge for our clients.  We highly value our relationships with our agriculture based clients and are determined to continue turning their goals into reality.

Defense

In recent years, the defense issue has taken on new meaning for our nation.  With our engagement in two wars and the effort to protect our homeland, our defense infrastructure continues to be modified in order to address these new imperatives.  In this regard, Congress and the Department of Defense are constantly examining and pursuing the best technical solutions to meet these new challenges.

Capitol Partners has an extensive background working with members of the Department of Defense and the defense related committees of the U.S. Congress.  These relationships provide us with a unique ability to effectively present defense projects to the federal government.   By so doing, we are able to forge partnerships between Congress and our clients to develop products that maximize the capabilities and sustainability of our nation’s military force.  We have successfully represented clients with defense projects concerning military diesel fuel, the conversion of waste to energy, multi-function imaging technologies, and numerous medical technologies geared toward addressing soldier health issues.

Education

Capitol Partners, Inc. has an impressive background in securing substantial federal funding for educational institutions throughout the country.  We assist in developing projects that have positive impacts on the school and neighboring communities.  With nearly 25 years of experience representing colleges and universities on the federal level, coupled with our combined nearly 50 years of Congressional and federal government experience in both political parties, we have developed a unique inside view of the strategies for identifying and securing federal funding opportunities for new school programming and educational initiatives.

Through a careful examination of the needs and goals of our clients, we are able to directly target specific Congressional appropriation and legislative opportunities and devise a client specific approach to taking advantage of those opportunities.  We have been successful in helping to secure federal resources for the development of new educational programming, school infrastructure improvements, and the equipping of an on-campus pharmaceutical research complex, among others.  Our tireless work ethic and strong will to see projects from beginning to end enable our firm to produce exciting accomplishments with our education based clients.

Energy & Environment

As the United States approaches a crossroads in federal energy policy, traditional oil and gas has to give way to a more balanced energy market that embraces new technologies.  This crossroads has come about due to a combination of environmental and geopolitical concerns borne of American energy policy, which contributes to global warming and enriches governments unfriendly to the U.S.

Historically, Congress has drawn on the knowledge and experience of private enterprises to develop legislation in the energy arena.  At Capitol Partners, our long experience dealing with energy issues and our powerful Congressional contacts have enabled us to aid our clients in developing congressional support for innovative energy technologies.  We have successfully assisted in developing legislation in support of waste to energy and improved biodiesel technologies.  As Congress moves forward to develop new energy legislation in the next Congress, Capitol Partners can offer our clients strategic counsel to maximize their ability to participate in the allocation of new subsidies.

Healthcare

Capitol Partners has a lengthy history of working with health care organizations to secure federal funding for research initiatives, facility construction, and service modernization projects.  We have over 30 years of experience dealing with health care issues on the federal level.  Our success in the field is derived from our extensive knowledge of the issues and our relationships with key decision makers in Congress.

By developing strong partnerships with our health care clients we are able to target specific federal funding opportunities that meet the unique needs of a client’s project.  Our concerted effort and diligent work ethic affords us with the ability to bring our clients’ funding goals to a reality.  Our efforts have produced congressionally appropriated funds for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) treatment and research, research for state of the art prosthetics, and the purchase of equipment for a breast cancer research center located at an urban university to name a few.  We are proud to assist in the development of projects that have significant health benefits for local communities, as well as the entire country.

Medical Technology

Capitol Partners has extensive experience representing biomedical research organizations at the federal level.  We specialize in securing federal funding and in promoting the inclusion of favorable policy language in federal legislation that benefits our clients.  Our effectiveness is derived from our proven strategy developed through countless years working with biomedical research organizations as staff members in the federal government and as governmental affairs consultants.

We have successfully secured federal funding to aid biomedical research in the areas of neurodegenerative diseases, blood therapeutics, orthopedics, prosthetics, and bovine blood derived products.  Our detailed knowledge of federal regulations also allows us to assist our clients in effectively navigating the Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.  We are extremely proud to be a part of the many extraordinary scientific and medical advancements created by our biomedical clients.

Social Services

Congress spends billions of dollars annually to provide resources to help people in need through a variety of different means.  Often Congress appropriates money to targeted social service organizations throughout the country that provide supportive services to people in their local communities.

At Capitol Partners, we have decades of experience working on Capitol Hill and representing social service organizations to the federal government.  This experience has afforded us with a unique understanding of the federal appropriations process.  Our close relationships with influential members of Congress, along with our experience, allow us to develop innovative strategies for our clients in appealing to Congress for federal funding.  We have successfully aided in securing federal funding for technology upgrades, administrative efficiency programs, and project development for our social services clients.  We are very proud of our work assisting social service organizations in meeting their funding needs, so that they can better help others.

Technology

Is your company fashioning technical solutions to problems facing the nation?  If so, you should know that technology companies can gain valuable advantages by establishing relationships with the federal government.  Congress often works with technology companies to promote innovative solutions for problems facing the health, security, and energy industries to name a few.  Congressional support benefits technology companies by providing the necessary resources for project completion and at times can de-risk new technologies.

Capitol Partners has a long history providing strategic counsel and federal representation to technology research and development companies.  Our experience working on Capitol Hill has afforded us with the ability to productively maneuver through federal regulations to ensure that our clients are maximizing their market potential and taking advantage of every opportunity.  Furthermore, our extensive knowledge of the legislative process has enabled us to successfully assist our clients in securing federal funding for projects that have promoted gun safety, developed new forms of energy, and created new thermal imaging cameras for use on helicopters, as well as many others.

Transportation & Infrastracture

Each year, Congress allocates billions of dollars to many local governments and private companies for infrastructure initiatives.  Included within nearly every piece of appropriation legislation this federal funding can be acquired through effectively demonstrating to members of Congress the significant advantages that a particular project provides to societal support systems.

At Capitol Partners, our considerable experience working in and out of the federal government and our numerous relationships with influential members of Congress has allowed us to develop a proven strategy for productively maneuvering through the appropriation process.  This strategy has enabled us to assist our clients in securing vast amounts of federal funding for a variety of infrastructural undertakings.  Our clients have secured federal resources for flood management systems, water systems, power generation, and significant bridge and road improvements, just to name a few.  The new President and Congress are already turning their attention to all forms of “stimulus” to address our nation’s economic ills.  Infrastructure projects for localities will be a major component of this and Capitol Partners can effectively promote such projects.
